Dr. Suzanne Montgomery is one of Northeast Florida’s most widely respected psychological
consultants. She is a specialist in helping individuals and groups recognize and work
through crucial interpersonal issues. Her methodology is to create a nurturing and
supportive environment while focusing on specific goals.
For a broad range of organizations her work has been the key to positive breakthroughs.
A leader in the community as well as her profession, she has been president of the Mental
Health Resource Center, president of the Mental Health Association, president of the
Leadership Jacksonville Alumni Association, and secretary of Volunteer Jacksonville.
She was selected for Leadership Jacksonville in 1981 and Leadership USA in 1996.
In 1984, she received the Mental Health Association's Outstanding Mental Health
Professional Award. In 1991 she received the Mental Health Resource Center's
John Paul Jones award for outstanding contribution to the mental health field
and she was awarded the National Association for Community Leadership's Distinguished
Leadership award in 1998. In 2002, Dr. Montgomery was a finalist for the prestigous
EVE award, given by the Florida Times Union. She has also been selected for numerous
Who’s Who publications, including Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who of
Professional & Business Women, and Who’s Who in America. Additionally, she
has been the author of several publications.
Her expertise in corporate psychology and considerable ability as a public
speaker have put Dr. Montgomery in demand by the media. She has made numerous
appearances on local and national programs as a spokesperson for her profession
and a commentator on psychological issues. A licensed psychologist, she
received her Master's degree from Michigan State University and her Doctorate
(as well as her Bachelor's degree) from the University of Florida.
